And tell me if these videos aren't clear enough and I will use my time to create subtitles for these. :) In this tutorial you will create the exterior of a classic, WWII airplane, the Lockheed P-38 Lightning. You'll use primitive objects and modifiers to create the parts. Viewport background bitmaps will act as guides to help you shape your plane. Note: This tutorial is a basic tutorial, but we suggest that you do this after completing the Introduction Introductory Tutorial Animated Still Life. You'll need to know how to select objects and vertices and navigate around the viewports. Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate Features Covered in This Tutorial Upon completion of this tutorial, you will be able to: • Set up the viewports with background images to help in building the model. • Use primitive objects as the basis for each part of the airplane. • Edit themodel at sub-object levels. • Adjust the pivot point and hierarchy of the model in preparation for use with a game engine. ![]() tutorialboneyard.com In this 3ds Max tutorial we will Poly Model a jet powered flying wing using the Edge-Shift-Drag technique in Editable Poly mode We start with a small mesh and select an outer edge and hold Shift, then drag to clone a new polygon. Use the Move and Rotate tools to further define the shape and direction of each cloned polygon. We will show you how to build a Flying Wing using Poly Modeling, and preparing the model using 4 point poly's, chamfering tight edge loops to create hard edges before using the TurboSmooth modifier. |
